Construction Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Primarily onsite in Huntington Beach, California, United States; travel up to 20% to other facilities and occasional off-hours or weekend work may be required.

Salary: $180,000–$195,000 USD annually, plus performance incentives, equity, benefits, and professional development support.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute construction, infrastructure, facility expansion, tenant improvement, and specialized manufacturing projects.
• Manage project deliverables from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal Facilities, EHS, Manufacturing, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and as-built documentation.
• Track budgets, schedules, milestones, commitments, forecasts, quality, safety, and contractor performance.
• Support utility installations, equipment integration, facility assessments, permitting, inspections, and infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or technically complex construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Experience coordinating contractors and design professionals, with knowledge of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, project controls, construction safety, and applicable building codes.
• Must be eligible to work with U.S.-controlled technology under ITAR requirements and meet applicable U.S. work authorization conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, research and development, or industrial facilities.
• Experience with electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, process piping, specialized utilities, and equipment installation.
• Familiarity with California building codes, permitting, local authorities, Revit, BIM, and scheduling platforms.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification, EIT certification, or progress toward PE licensure.
