Web Coordinator (Drupal)

Location: Fully remote; preferred candidate based in the CET to US Eastern time-zone range

Salary: 55,000–60,000 USD/year

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day operation, reliability, performance, and security of the Drupal-based website and related web properties.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, apply module updates and security patches, configure the CMS, and implement minor frontend fixes.
• Monitor uptime, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, web standards, staging environments, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain SEO strategy, conduct site health audits, and coordinate technical SEO and keyword tracking.
• Manage web analytics platforms, produce performance reports, and define metrics for engagement, usability, and content effectiveness.
• Prioritize web requests and projects while collaborating with Data Science, Development, Analysis, and External Affairs teams; supervise the Digital Officer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, digital media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing or coordinating a content-driven website with hands-on technical responsibilities.
• Strong experience with Drupal CMS, including site building, configuration, module management, theming, and troubleshooting.
• Strong PHP experience and a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, web standards, SEO tools, and web analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization, WCAG accessibility standards, security practices, Git, and deployment workflows.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder-management skills, including experience supervising or mentoring at least one team member.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript or frontend frameworks such as React.
• Knowledge of integrations with Salesforce, Mailchimp, CRM, or marketing automation platforms, including APIs, authentication, embedded forms, and tracking.
• Experience with ContentSquare or Hotjar, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, CDNs, or hosting infrastructure.
• Experience in a mission-driven, research, or data-focused organization.
