AI Solutions Developer

Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada; flexible hybrid work model with role-specific office visit and on-site attendance expectations shared during the hiring process.

Salary: $85,500–$105,600 CAD annual base salary.

What you will do

• Architect, code, deploy, monitor, and maintain custom AI agents, applications, self-service tools, and automated workflows for Global Enablement.
• Build Python-based agentic workflows, backend services, microservices, RAG systems, user interfaces, and secure RESTful integrations with business and enablement platforms.
• Integrate LLMs, conversational AI, speech recognition and generation, interactive avatars, multilingual capabilities, vector databases, and cloud AI services.
• Establish engineering practices, reusable libraries, API wrappers, CI/CD pipelines, AI evaluation processes, testing, documentation, and operational handover procedures.
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, privacy protections, responsible AI guardrails, prompt-injection safeguards, and content separation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, assess feasibility, collaborate with subject matter experts and platform teams, and measure adoption, time savings, quality, cost, and enablement impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or software engineering, focused on building and deploying intelligent systems or automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including pandas and asynchronous programming, plus working proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for user-facing applications.
• Hands-on experience building multi-step agentic workflows with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar code-first frameworks, and integrating OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, or other LLM APIs.
• Experience designing RAG pipelines using PostgreSQL with pgvector and vector databases or search libraries such as Pinecone, Weaviate, and FAISS.
• Experience deploying applications in Google Cloud, including Vertex AI and Cloud Functions, with knowledge of Git, testing, CI/CD, RESTful APIs, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work independently, communicate technical capabilities, limitations, risks, and tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders, and translate loosely defined requirements into precise specifications.
• Ability to document solutions, stay current with AI developments, and own work from concept through deployment and ongoing operation.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications in Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, or specific AI technologies.
• Experience with speech, avatar, or multilingual capabilities.
