Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Must be willing and able to work in Burnaby, Richmond, or Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Base pay: CA$94,500–CA$123,375 per year, with potential eligibility for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Develop scalable, production-ready features for hirify.global products.
• Own features from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and designers in Agile teams.
• Contribute to AI-powered features, integrations, agentic systems, and intelligent automation.
• Solve technical problems involving distributed systems, data processing, and user experience optimization.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with graduation by August 2027.
• Experience with Python, Java, or another modern object-oriented language.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, with an understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Software development experience through internships, work experience, projects, or publications.
• Knowledge of APIs, cloud platforms, data structures, algorithms, statistical concepts, and modern system design patterns.
• Employer sponsorship for work authorization is not available at the time of hire.

Nice to have

• Exposure to agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, MCP, function calling, and AI-assisted development.
• Experience with AI/ML architectural patterns such as data pipelines, model serving, and microservices.
