Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Location: Coldwater, Michigan, United States; onsite in an office and production/manufacturing environment.

hirify.global designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets performance products and systems for bicycles, powered vehicles, off-road vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, and other specialty applications.

What you will do

• Perform entry-level duties in the assigned department.
• Support engineering and manufacturing projects in a hands-on production environment.
• Assist with product development, process improvement, CAD design, and manufacturing operations.
• Run general industry-related errands and attend company meetings and functions.
• Shadow employees and train in a variety of tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a college or university engineering program; prerequisite college courses may be required for some positions.
• Completed SolidWorks or comparable modeling software classes.
• Diligent, hardworking, quick to learn assignments, capable of taking direction, and flexible with good interpersonal skills.
• No professional experience is required.
• Ability to work in an office and production/manufacturing environment, including walking, standing, sitting, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if required and use vision to validate and enter computer data.

Nice to have

• At least one year of previous internship or general work experience.
