Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Twinsburg, Ohio, United States

Manufactures harsh-environment sensors for neutron radiation measurement, nuclear reactor power monitoring, UV flame detection, and downhole radiation detection for oil and gas exploration.

What you will do

• Support daily manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and revise manufacturing travelers, routers, and work instructions.
• Evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials, products, and equipment with quality and engineering teams.
• Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting for product and process failures.
• Contribute to scrap reduction, process optimization, and product development projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and exposure to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Ability to apply engineering fundamentals and perform calculations for product development and testing.
• Ability to solve testing problems involving interfaces with existing equipment and human engineering considerations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience with SolidWorks and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
