Staff Software Engineer (f/m/d) Virtual Network Functions (Golang/Kubernetes)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working model; full-time.

What you will do

• Develop and support scalable, high-performance Virtual Network Functions for hirify.global Cloud.
• Design new features and adopt hardware and software-defined technologies across the VNF infrastructure.
• Write, test, and review Golang services using AI-assisted development tooling.
• Deploy, operate, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot VNF workloads on Kubernetes, including production network issues.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate new Virtual Network Functions with hirify.global products.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Golang and/or C/C++, including AI-assisted development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture and operations, aligned with CKA principles.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies including Open vSwitch, OpenFlow, VXLAN, VRF, and eBPF.
• Experience with cloud environments and virtualization technologies such as QEMU/KVM.
• Experience with the GNU toolchain, including gcc, gdb, and make, as well as git and the Linux CLI.
• Experience with Linux system administration and automation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux kernel networking internals, VPP, and DPDK.
