Kernel/Hypervisor Engineer (AWS EC2 Live Migration)

What you will do

• Design and develop low-level software for EC2 Live Migration, primarily in C.
• Build, maintain, and operate server-side kernel and hypervisor technology.
• Write reliable, scalable, and efficient production code.
• Debug issues, conduct testing, and resolve software release problems with multiple teams.
• Participate in code reviews and integrate new features across teams.
• Join an on-call rotation and support production services.

Requirements

• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Strong programming skills in C and Linux.
• Experience with low-level programming and computer architecture.
• Experience developing Linux Kernel or hypervisor code, such as device drivers, VMMs, virtio, or memory management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
