Senior Algorithm Developer

Location: Remote; anywhere in the UK & Europe region

hirify.global develops an AI-infused supply chain orchestration platform used by global brands to improve visibility, planning, scheduling, and decision-making across complex supply chains.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test production scheduling models, constraints, heuristics, and metaheuristics.
• Translate real-world manufacturing and scheduling constraints into robust computational and mathematical models.
• Investigate and apply advanced scheduling techniques, including targeted AI/ML use where appropriate.
• Lead or contribute to the evolution of core scheduling logic in a commercial, enterprise-grade product.
• Define and contribute to unit, integration, regression, and performance testing strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and support; participate in design discussions, code reviews, Scrum rituals, defect triage, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Intermediate or senior-level experience in algorithm development.
• Experience developing production-ready scheduling algorithms and mathematical or computational models.
• Ability to work with complex manufacturing and scheduling constraints, large datasets, and scalability requirements.
• Experience with testing strategies covering unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Ability to contribute to enterprise software design, implementation, code reviews, secure design, architectural consistency, and code quality.
• Ability to investigate defects, explain product behavior, suggest workarounds, and fix and validate moderate issues.
• Ability to rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration safety, and edge-case coverage.

• Experience applying AI/ML to scheduling problems.
• Experience improving the software development lifecycle through tooling, automation, or AI-assisted workflows.
