Middleware Software Engineering Intern

Location: Gdansk, Poland; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Minimum annual base salary: 68,880 PLN.

hirify.global’s Data Center Group develops distributed systems software and hardware platforms for cloud computing, machine learning, and enterprise applications.

What you will do

• Develop middleware software components for communication, data management, and abstraction between applications and hardware.
• Collaborate with application developers, system architects, and platform teams on scalable middleware solutions.
• Assist with API design and protocol implementation for software-to-hardware communication.
• Support performance tuning and debugging across distributed and embedded systems.
• Conduct research and contribute to projects aligned with hirify.global’s business and technology goals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Linux and familiarity with compilers and makefiles.
• Fluency in C/C++ and strong debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CPU and GPU architectures.
• Understanding of system software, including libraries, operating systems, and runtime environments.
• Experience with parallel programming, multithreaded runtimes, and performance evaluation.
