Software Engineer (Connectors & Integrations)

Location: Remote Poland

Base salary: 200,000–250,000 PLN annually; performance-based bonus and equity options may also be available.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and support scalable server-side connectors, Java services, APIs, and integration capabilities for real-time customer data delivery.
• Build third-party vendor integrations covering authentication, request mapping, validation, retries, error handling, and rate-limit behavior.
• Contribute to connector actions, configuration APIs, metadata services, and user-facing configuration workflows.
• Work with event-driven and batch-processing systems, distributed messaging, and cloud-native technologies to deliver data reliably at scale.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests; investigate failures; and improve performance, monitoring, logging, resiliency, observability, and customer-facing error handling.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, frontend, Product, and other cross-functional partners through design reviews, code reviews, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, operational-readiness reviews, and production-support investigations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Java development experience, including experience with a modern framework such as Spring or Quarkus.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, clean code, and maintainable, testable systems.
• Experience building or supporting REST APIs and integrations with external services.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed-system concepts, including retries, idempotency, timeouts, observability, and failure handling.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, or Terraform.
• Exposure to distributed messaging or streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD practices, Git-based development, and peer code review.
• Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies and domain concepts, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to engineers, product partners, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with guidance from senior engineers and team leads.

Nice to have

• Experience building connectors, integrations, SDKs, API clients, or other third-party platform integrations.
• Experience with high-volume event processing, batch delivery, or marketing, advertising, analytics, or customer-data platforms.
• Experience diagnosing production issues using metrics, logs, traces, or distributed-system tooling.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, debugging, testing, or technical exploration.
