Software Engineer – Imaging & Test Systems (Imaging)

Location: US - Goleta, CA; must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Salary: $90,800.00-$121,100.00 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deliver control, data acquisition, and analysis software using C#.
• Develop software that controls and interacts with imaging sensors, automated test equipment, and related hardware.
• Use Python, SQL, data analysis, and visualization tools to support automation and testing.
• Own software development projects from design through testing and delivery, producing reliable, maintainable, and documented code.
• Create software designs, diagrams, flowcharts, test plans, test reports, and code documentation.
• Collaborate with ROIC Design, Systems Engineering, Project Management, Test Engineering, and other technical teams on troubleshooting, debugging, integration, verification, quality assurance, and configuration management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
• Approximately 5 years of related software engineering experience preferred.
• Experience developing software using C#.
• Experience or familiarity with Python and SQL.
• Strong software development, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across software, hardware, systems, and other engineering disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
