Software Engineer II (C++)

Salary: $105,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop software operating and control systems for complex robotic equipment.
• Build software interfaces supporting IoT and Smart Factory requirements.
• Develop smartphone-like equipment applications on the Open Apps platform.
• Prepare software requirements and contribute to new product design specifications.
• Resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues.
• Support software-related issues for the factory floor, technical support, field service, and sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field, plus 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience with C++ and C# and software projects using structured design techniques.
• Experience working as part of a software project team and using object-oriented design methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of machine control software, Windows-based GUI design, I/O systems, closed-loop systems, and PID control.
• Familiarity with state machine programming, automated testing, and software interfaces.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with WPF, Visual Studio, source control, or installation packages.
