TL;DR
In-Game LQA Testers (FPS): Testing and reviewing localization in an FPS, open-world, sci-fi extraction shooter with an accent on linguistic accuracy, terminology consistency, and cultural quality across French, German, Latin American Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. Focus on identifying in-game localization issues during gameplay, writing detailed bug reports, and validating the experience on Android devices during Japan Standard Time working hours.

Location: Remote; on-site availability in Hatchobori, Tokyo, is a plus. Availability during Japan Standard Time (JST / UTC+9) working hours is required.

hirify.global is supporting a long-term FPS localization project.

What you will do

  • Perform in-game LQA testing for an FPS, open-world, sci-fi extraction shooter project.
  • Review linguistic quality, terminology, translations, omissions, grammar, and cultural issues.
  • Identify localization issues during gameplay and write clear, detailed bug reports.
  • Communicate findings with strong attention to detail throughout the approximately two-month project.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in English and the relevant target language: French, German, Latin American Spanish, Russian, or Arabic.
  • Ability to identify mistranslations, omissions, grammar issues, terminology inconsistencies, and cultural concerns.
  • Ability to identify localization issues during gameplay and write clear, detailed bug reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Availability during Japan Standard Time (JST / UTC+9) working hours.
  • Android 10 or above, with Snapdragon 730, Dimensity 1000, Kirin 810, or equivalent; at least 6 GB RAM and approximately 15 GB available storage, with 20 GB or more recommended.

Nice to have

  • Previous game LQA or localization experience.
  • Familiarity with FPS or extraction shooter games.
  • Availability to work on-site in Hatchobori, Tokyo.
