Equipment Engineer III (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Farmers Branch, TX, United States; onsite day-shift position.

What you will do

• Lead installation, startup, commissioning, qualification, and lifecycle strategy for advanced manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and uptime.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs using equipment monitoring, advanced analytics, and predictive maintenance models.
• Analyze uptime, throughput, MTBF, utilization, maintenance effectiveness, FDC, and SPC data to improve equipment performance and manufacturing capacity.
• Manage spare-parts strategies, vendor relationships, equipment upgrades, technology roadmaps, service activities, and supplier performance.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects, technical reviews, equipment integration, and mentorship of junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work across semiconductor manufacturing, advanced assembly, and electronics test environments.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, manufacturing compliance and safety, technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, statistical data analysis, and technical communication.
• Ability to lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, EHS, Automation, and Supply Chain teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in wafer fabrication, packaging, module assembly, automated test, reliability test, final test, or related high-reliability electronics manufacturing operations.
• Experience with semiconductor process-module equipment, assembly automation, inspection and metrology, handlers, probers, testers, or burn-in systems.
• Experience with FDC, SPC, statistical analysis, and manufacturing data systems.
• Experience leading equipment installations, factory expansions, or technology transfers.
• Project leadership experience with successful cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools, automation systems, and advanced analytics.
