AI Solution Architect

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States. Ability to travel overnight is required.

What you will do

• Translate business and product requirements into end-to-end architectures covering data, AI, APIs, applications, identity, security, observability, and support.
• Define domain data models, data flows, integration patterns, semantic access, RAG and knowledge patterns, and AI service interactions.
• Align priority solutions with enterprise reference architectures while documenting justified exceptions and local configuration needs.
• Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews with engineering, platform, security, governance, vendors, and business subject-matter experts.
• Evaluate alternatives and communicate tradeoffs involving speed, complexity, cost, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Identify and pilot new data, AI, and digital opportunities that can create practical business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, data architecture, software engineering, data engineering, or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, APIs and integration, cloud architecture, AI/ML, generative AI patterns, security, and observability.
• Experience designing production solutions spanning multiple systems and teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain architecture to business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, communicate clearly, and deliver results in an evolving environment.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across the organization while balancing enterprise standards with business needs and operating realities.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written and oral instructions and DRH applications.
• Ability to sit for most of an 8-hour workday, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear; close and peripheral vision are required. The noise level is generally moderate.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Azure, the Microsoft ecosystem, RAG and vector search, semantic layers and data contracts, agentic architectures, MCP and tool integration, model routing and provider abstraction, hybrid cloud and private inference, document AI, unstructured data, or comparable technologies.
• Experience in homebuilding, real estate, construction, mortgage, title, land development, sales, purchasing, finance, customer care, or another distributed operating business.
• Experience working in a large enterprise with complex enterprise environments.
• Experience founding, incubating, or building new products, capabilities, or businesses from the ground up.
