Lead, Sustainability & Stewardship Programs

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Based at the hirify.global corporate headquarters with 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Annual base salary: $150,000–$181,250, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

• Coordinate the cross-functional development and execution of sustainability and corporate responsibility programs covering circular economy, carbon reduction, biodiversity, and sustainable materials.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and end-to-end delivery across multiple focus areas.
• Align program execution with business strategy and partner with leadership, internal departments, suppliers, industry groups, and community partners.
• Define and track KPIs; support data collection, analysis, progress monitoring, and transparent reporting to internal stakeholders, customers, and the public.
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulations, voluntary commitments, and industry standards, and improve processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Create communications and training materials to increase awareness and engagement with stewardship initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in program management, corporate responsibility, or sustainability-focused roles.
• Exceptional project management expertise and experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from inception through delivery.
• Ability to analyze complex data, produce clear actionable insights, and present them succinctly.
• Ability to establish standards and processes and drive plans to meet deadlines.
• Ability to balance strategic perspective with hands-on execution and apply end-to-end thinking across dependencies and long-term outcomes.
• Proactive risk, gap, and opportunity identification with the ability to create structure in a dynamic, growing environment.
• Familiarity with sustainability and corporate responsibility standards and frameworks.
• Excellent computer and systems knowledge, including Microsoft Office365 and common project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA.
• Integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, a positive attitude, growth mindset, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility with evolving information are expected.
