SQA Analyst II (QA Automation)

Location: Remote within the United States; final-round interviews take place onsite at the Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters. Candidates in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred, and occasional after-hours production-release validation may be required.

What you will do

• Prepare testing strategy documents and test plans, derive testing requirements from functional and business requirements, and apply QA best practices.
• Create and execute functional, automation, and performance test scripts across web, UI, API, database, system integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Review technical design documents and develop integration scenarios covering impacted components, interfaces, and systems.
• Identify test data and build and execute services/API validation scripts using relevant toolsets.
• Identify, document, manage, and help resolve defects while communicating test status and results.
• Collaborate with application teams, technical teams, vendors, and external partners in Agile/Scrum delivery activities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases, performing functional testing, and managing defects.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver or comparable automation tools such as Playwright, familiarity with Java, and automation testing practices.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and validating data in databases and reports.
• API or web services testing experience, with familiarity with API automation tools such as Bruno, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
• Experience testing web, mobile, interface, and back-end processing applications.
• At least 1 year of experience in API or web services testing, test automation or performance testing, and working with Agile delivery teams; at least 2 years of experience writing SQL queries and testing reports.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent software-industry experience. Equivalent experience means 2 years of professional software-industry experience.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, coding/scripting skills, and the ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors and external partners.

Nice to have

• Healthcare payer or healthcare application testing experience.
• Experience testing provider, eligibility, or similarly integrated web-based applications.
• Experience with system integration, regression automation, and end-to-end testing across upstream and downstream systems.
• Familiarity with hybrid automation frameworks and UI, web, API, and database validation.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and production deployment validation.
