TL;DR
Sr QA Engineer (Bankcard/Payment Systems): Designing and executing complex testing strategies for payment applications with an accent on data verification, test automation, defect resolution, and security compliance. Focus on coordinating integrated testing, developing test plans and cases, and guiding stakeholders through complex system defects and quality improvements.

Location: Hybrid — Cuajimalpa, Mexico

What you will do

  • Conduct online, batch, data verification, integrated, automation, load, and performance testing for applications under test.
  • Design complex test strategies, plans, conditions, cases, contingency plans, and test environments based on project and business requirements.
  • Validate test results, identify inconsistencies and defects, coordinate resolution with technical and business resources, and follow complex defects through closure.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant for internal and external customers, stakeholders, developers, test analysts, and project teams.
  • Develop and administer test data conditioning and execution practices, documentation, procedures, methodologies, and application standards.
  • Coordinate test-team activities, review client test plans, cases and scripts, prioritize execution, communicate progress, and advise leadership on complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with relational databases, bankcard industry knowledge, and IBM Rational tools.
  • Knowledge of structured analysis and design, testing methodologies, risk assessment, integrated testing, test automation, load and performance testing, and defect management.
  • Ability to interpret business and technical requirements, create complex test designs, and make independent decisions on testing methods and evaluation criteria.
  • Ability to coordinate with stakeholders, business resources, developers, test analysts, internal customers, and external clients.
  • Knowledge of IBM Mainframe Systems, including TSO, JHS, and CICS.
  • Experience with HP Quality Center, IBM Rational Quality Manager, IBM File Manager, HP Quick Test/Unified Functional Testing, SoapUI, Soap Sonar, HP Service Test, MS Visual Studio, HP Performance Center/LoadRunner, JMeter, IBM Rational Team Concert, Selenium, Eclipse, SQL Profiler, Putty, Toad, JUnit, NUnit, Application Lifecycle Management tools, and Paragon Fast Test.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.

  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification.
