Intern, FFBA Analytical Development (Flow Cytometry)

Location: Hybrid, Somerset, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Support development of flow cytometry-based methods for assessing cellular metabolism in immune and engineered cell products.
• Design experiments, optimize staining panels, and analyze multiparametric flow cytometry data under close mentorship from principal scientists.
• Collaborate with scientists to identify issues in the electronic sample accession process and develop procedures for sample data and test reporting.
• Assist with routine testing of non-critical samples, equipment calibration, cleaning, and general laboratory upkeep.
• Create accurate Electronic Laboratory Notebook entries and LIMS sample templates.
• Coordinate planning and execution with senior scientists through collaboration, consensus, and alignment.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or master's student in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, scientific curiosity, and effective communication.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Strong written and verbal English skills are required.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, fluorescence-based assays, data analysis software, and basic statistics.
• Experience with GraphPad Prism or other data analysis tools such as PowerBI, JMP, or R.
