Senior Product Manager - Cloudera Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid, US-California-San Jose, United States of America; other listed locations include Austin, USA, and Budapest, Hungary.

Annual base salary: $185,000–$231,000 in California.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for hirify.global Manager, a lifecycle management tool for mission-critical clusters with thousands of nodes and petabytes of data.
• Develop simplified, opinionated product experiences with configuration recommendations, actionable health alerts, bad-configuration warnings, and AI trained on hirify.global’s knowledge base and observability telemetry.
• Design intuitive workflows and self-guided administrative tools for IT generalists with limited big data expertise.
• Lead the evolution of hirify.global Manager into a multi-cloud cluster orchestrator supporting hybrid-cloud deployments.
• Optimize cluster lifecycle operations for environments of up to 10,000 nodes and ensure refresh and maintenance operations on 1,000+ node clusters meet customer-approved SLAs.
• Define release lifecycle policies, public API stability and backward-compatibility guarantees, while monitoring operational velocity, feature adoption and support escalations.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software, including at least 2 years of Product Management experience.
• Foundational understanding of open data lakes, data movement, enterprise data governance and big data architecture.
• Basic technical understanding of virtualization and data center networking.
• Basic technical understanding of VM-based public-cloud deployments using IaaS/PaaS, object storage architectures such as S3, ADLS or GCS, and network architectures for at least one major hyperscaler: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrated success transforming complex, developer-centric platforms into intuitive, opinionated products with active guardrails that reduce manual operational friction.

Nice to have

• Experience working with or within major cloud providers, including partner co-development, cloud marketplace programs or cloud-native integrations.
• Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and competitive solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery/Bigtable, Amazon EMR/Redshift or Azure Synapse.
• Familiarity with open table formats such as Apache Iceberg and multi-cloud data architecture strategies.
• Experience managing enterprise platforms or supporting customers with enterprise-scale deployments containing more than 100 TB of data.
