Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Enablement)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $180,200–$252,300 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position offered.

What you will do

• Build AI applications, agents, skills, connectors, and workflow automations for business and technical functions including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Finance.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into AI-native workflows, technical delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Work with internal functions and the AI Platform team to understand goals, workflows, systems, data, and success measures.
• Prototype solutions quickly, integrate approved data, tools, APIs, and actions, and productionize priority workflows.
• Define evaluations, review gates, human-in-the-loop controls, observability, evidence, governance, support, and reversibility for production workflows.
• Transfer maintainable workflows to function owners and turn successful solutions into reusable agents, templates, connectors, playbooks, and platform patterns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software-building experience, including AI applications, agents, automations, or internal tools.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and production judgment, with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying agents, including tool and API use, orchestration, state management, and failure handling.
• Experience with enterprise integrations using MCP or comparable tool integration patterns.
• Experience with LLM retrieval and structured outputs.
• Experience with reliable AI operations, including cloud deployment, access controls, observability, evaluations, failure analysis, and improvement.
• Clear technical and non-technical communication, including explaining tradeoffs and incorporating feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise business systems, internal tools, or embedded delivery.
• Experience creating reusable components or helping teams adopt new tools.
• Experience redesigning business workflows and measuring gains in quality, speed, capacity, or cost.
• Experience building user-facing AI tools and driving adoption through feedback, onboarding, and training.
