Lead Backend Developers (Go)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid workplace with flexible hours and the possibility to work remotely for 52 days per year. Relocation support is provided for employees and their families.

What you will do

• Design the architecture of marketplace solution services.
• Develop backend services, primarily in Go, for technical integration with partners.
• Provide fault tolerance for services running in AWS.
• Prepare services for continuously increasing processed and stored data volumes.
• Participate in discussions about new features and product development.
• Manage and mentor a backend team of 3–6 developers, including recruiting, hiring, and training.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing a backend team through recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
• Confident knowledge of at least one of Go, Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, or Scala; Go is not mandatory.
• Experience developing complex projects.
• Excellent algorithmic training, strong fundamental technical knowledge, and strong general coding skills.
• Experience developing for Linux or Unix.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-load systems.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
