Electrical Engineer (AI Data Centers)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced building electrical systems for high-density, mission-critical data centers, including power, communications, and life safety systems.
• Own the electrical design lifecycle from concept development through detailed, construction-ready installation drawing and specification packages.
• Develop electrical system architectures for modular deployments and coordinate designs with mechanical engineering, software teams, clients, vendors, manufacturers, and production personnel.
• Analyze short circuit, arc-flash, voltage drop, feeder derating, load calculations, system resiliency, and failure scenarios.
• Model electrical equipment, components, cable paths, equipment rooms, e-houses, and e-skids in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Revit.
• Build electrical content libraries, templates, and standards; review and approve vendor designs, assemblies, equipment, components, and devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with P.Eng. or the ability to obtain it.
• 5+ years of experience in building system electrical design.
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, and SKM or equivalent.
• Strong experience producing electrical drawings for building systems.
• Working knowledge of relevant electrical standards and codes.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage communication systems as they relate to conveyance and raceway design.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modular and prefabricated electrical equipment power distribution at 415V, 480V, or 800VDC.
• Familiarity with medium-voltage distribution and design practices.
• Familiarity with networking design for high-density GPU data centers.
