D365 Business Central Functional Consultant

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV implementation projects across requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, testing, data migration, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Run discovery sessions and demonstrations for pre-sales engagements, manage customer expectations, and align deliverables with business goals.
• Design and document solution architectures and functional specifications.
• Configure systems, provide user training, troubleshoot implementations, and identify enhancement and process-improvement opportunities.
• Lead, delegate to, mentor, and guide junior consultants and project team members while maintaining delivery quality and accountability.
• Maintain project documentation, manage risks and issues, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Requirements

• Lead Consultant experience with strong finance and business-process skills gained in a customer-facing role.
• Strong experience leading the complete project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design and architecture, user training, SIT and UAT testing, data migration, and go-live support.
• At least 4 years of proven functional experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or NAV.
• Implementation experience with GL, FA, AP/P2P, AR/O2C, workflows, inventory management, project management/jobs, roles and permissions, and configuration packages.
• Experience delivering support for existing implementations and identifying opportunities with customers.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, including customer and stakeholder relationship management.
• Ability to lead workshops, work in a customer-facing role, delegate effectively, and remain accountable for delivery.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to encourage and mentor colleagues, work openly and transparently, stay organised, and maintain strong documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jet Reports, Continia Document Capture, and Continia Expense Management.
• Some knowledge of Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Pre-sales engagement experience, including high-level discovery and demonstrations.
• Industry or project experience with multi-company or multi-currency organisations, supply chain and distribution, manufacturing, contracting and professional services, or public sector organisations.
