BI Developer (Power BI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using Cognos Analytics and Microsoft Power BI.
• Gather and interpret stakeholder requirements, then convert them into technical specifications and report designs.
• Develop Power BI semantic models and Cognos Frameworks using DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Create reusable datasets and reporting layers aligned with enterprise data architecture and BI standards.
• Investigate reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, support business users, and participate in support rotas.
• Test developments, validate data accuracy, conduct peer reviews, support user acceptance testing, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Experience developing reports in Microsoft Power BI, Cognos Analytics, or other BI tools.
• Strong SQL skills and experience using DAX and Power Query.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling and star schema design.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
