Founding Research Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, United States. A Green Card or US citizenship is required to apply.

Salary: Base salaries up to $300,000 plus significant equity.

What you will do

• Stream and capture continuously refreshing, petabyte-scale multimodal time-series data.
• Convert noisy and often ungrounded signals into useful representations.
• Model the future behaviour of actors in complex environments.
• Combine classical statistical methods with deep learning and transformers.
• Build agents that learn new strategies from sparse, long-horizon reward signals.
• Shape the technical direction and deployment of the core technology as an early engineering hire.

Requirements

• Highly quantitative and empirically minded approach to ambiguous research problems.
• Experience relevant to systematic trading and market microstructure, applied mathematics or statistics, signal processing, machine learning and sequential modelling, computational social science, or intelligence and national-security technology.
• Ability to work with large-scale, multimodal time-series data and prediction or learning systems.
• Must be a Green Card holder or US citizen.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Quantitative Researcher or Quantitative Developer in a top systematic trading environment.
