Tech Lead (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; on-site

Salary: $230K–$290K plus equity

hirify.global is an early-stage interface company developing Stream, a private voice ring and conversational interface designed to extend human thinking and provide greater personal control.

What you will do

• Lead architecture, technical strategy, and trade-offs for machine learning products.
• Design and improve user-facing agentic experiences, conversational interactions, and information retrieval.
• Develop infrastructure for rapidly developing, evaluating, and deploying models.
• Optimize inference pipelines for latency, reliability, and concurrency.
• Work with ML and AI engineers, infrastructure engineers, designers, founders, and backend and iOS engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of machine learning experience.
• Experience shipping machine learning-based products.
• Experience with large-language-model evaluation and post-training.
• Ability to write production-grade software.
• Experience setting technical direction and driving execution with multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in human-computer interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio or voice machine learning.
