Senior Payroll Officer (EMEA, UK Payroll Experience)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end EMEA payroll delivery through ADP and EOR providers, ensuring accurate, compliant, confidential, and timely payroll processing.
• Act as the subject matter expert on EMEA payroll legislation, taxation, social security, statutory obligations, and regulatory developments.
• Lead ADP and EOR vendor governance, including SLA management, performance reviews, commercial oversight, contractual compliance, and service improvement.
• Review and approve payroll inputs and outputs, conduct gross-to-net reconciliations and variance investigations, and maintain payroll controls.
• Lead payroll reporting, analytics, audits, month-end and year-end close, GL reconciliations, accruals, intercompany recharges, statutory filings, and journal ownership with Finance.
• Drive payroll transformation through automation, standardization, vendor consolidation, system improvements, and global process development while mentoring junior team members and representing EMEA payroll in leadership forums.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of advancing payroll experience in complex, multi-country EMEA settings managed through ADP and EOR providers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EMEA payroll regulations, tax obligations, social insurance, statutory reporting, and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on expertise with ADP payroll platforms, including ADP Celergo, ADP GlobalView, or ADP Streamline.
• Experience leading third-party payroll vendors and EOR relationships, including SLA governance, commercial oversight, blocking issue management, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience with internal controls and audit environments in a multinational, publicly listed company.
• Experience leading payroll transformation through automation, standardization, system implementation, M&A integration, vendor consolidation, or related initiatives.
• Advanced analytical skills covering reconciliations, payroll modelling, executive reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, independence, integrity, discretion, and ability to manage tight deadlines and sensitive payroll data.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing junior team members, with the ambition to grow into a future payroll leadership role; strong collaboration and communication skills across functions, levels, and geographies.
• Proficient English and willingness to work in a hybrid model with 3 office days per week.

Nice to have

• Professional payroll qualification such as CIPP, GPA, or equivalent local accreditation.
