Senior Social Media Manager (Fintech)

Location: City of London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with three days in the office.

What you will do

• Own and deliver IG's social media strategy across key channels and markets, improving reach, engagement, conversion, and underperforming platform performance.
• Build channel plans around cultural and financial moments, define social messaging frameworks and platform guidelines, and maintain a consistent tone of voice.
• Develop influencer strategy and manage the budget, partners, content strategies, and contracts.
• Lead social-first content concepting, production, paid-social support, integrated campaigns, product launches, brand moments, and partnership announcements.
• Manage content calendars and publishing schedules across multiple markets while coordinating with Marketing, PR, Creative, Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• Deliver reporting, competitive analysis, audience insights, experimentation, and social analytics evaluation; manage and develop two direct reports.

Requirements

• Experience in a social media role with a demonstrable track record of growing and improving channel performance across multiple markets.
• Proven experience in paid social and performance marketing, including campaign planning, execution, and optimisation.
• Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry, with an understanding of compliance requirements in content production.
• Strong content creation skills, including the ability to brief, produce, or quality-assure social-first assets across formats.
• Confidence working cross-functionally with Marketing, PR, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate performance and inform creative and strategic decisions.
• Experience managing and developing direct reports.
• A track record of owning and defending strategic and investment decisions with senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience working on trading, investment, or financial products, platforms, or content.
• Short-form video production skills, including Reels or TikTok content creation and editing.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows or an interest in learning how to do so.
• Experience growing and managing social channels for a large B2C consumer brand across multiple markets.
• Community management experience, including audience engagement and moderation.
• An additional European language.
