Assistant Producer, Absolute Radio

Location: London, United Kingdom. Full-time, permanent role based in London. Sunday–Thursday working pattern with flexibility for occasional weekend and evening shifts depending on show and event demands.

What you will do

• Provide live studio production support and help deliver smooth, engaging broadcasts across different shows and dayparts.
• Coordinate and communicate with presenters, guests and contributors during planning and live shows.
• Generate and develop ideas for features, competitions, interviews and other audience-focused content.
• Edit pre-recorded audio in Adobe Audition and produce content for broadcast and podcast platforms.
• Create content for broadcast and social platforms and support digital campaigns, commercial initiatives, competitions and promotions.
• Assist with station events, outside broadcasts and remote programming, including studio and technical operations, and create and schedule audio using Zetta and Selector.

Requirements

• Experience working in a live studio broadcast environment.
• Previous radio production experience in professional, community or student radio.
• Excellent audio editing skills, particularly with Adobe Audition.
• Experience with radio playout systems such as Zetta and music scheduling software such as Selector, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively and take a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Clear and confident communication skills and the ability to work closely with presenters, guests and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Understanding of the Absolute Radio brand, its music and what resonates with a 35+ audience.
