Software Engineer, Platform Scale & Reliability

Location: Fully remote from the Philippines; working hours must substantially overlap with the team's working day in Copenhagen.

What you will do

• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability limitations across services, data flows, APIs, background processing, databases, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling.
• Use production evidence to prioritize improvements with the greatest platform impact.
• Improve observability through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Strengthen services, data processing, deployment workflows, and operational safeguards so failures are detected early, contained, and permanently resolved.
• Contribute across Python, Golang, PHP, TypeScript, MySQL, Redis, AWS, containers, and CI/CD tooling.
• Direct AI agents to produce implementation, critically review their output, and establish tests and operational evidence for safe deployment.

Requirements

• Broad software-engineering experience and a practical understanding of how production systems behave under real usage.
• Ability to understand systems, investigate evidence, and deliver sound solutions.
• Ability to recognize weak designs, incorrect assumptions, missing failure modes, and unsafe production behavior.
• Ability to work remotely from the Philippines with substantial working-hours overlap with Copenhagen.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, performance analysis, database optimization, cloud infrastructure, observability, or high-volume data processing.
