What you will do

• Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations for analytics, reporting, and financial or regulatory needs.
• Work with and extend enterprise data models, including Data Vault, dimensional, SCD, 3NF, and domain-driven structures.
• Build and maintain SQL-centric ETL/ELT pipelines supporting batch, incremental, and near-real-time data flows.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, SQL testing, monitoring, observability, documentation, lineage, and metadata management.
• Use Python for automation, API integration, and workflow efficiency where beneficial.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, compliance, business, architecture, platform, and infrastructure stakeholders on data solutions and platform improvements.

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL skills, including complex queries, tuning, and optimization.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or SQL-heavy backend roles.
• Experience working with and extending established enterprise data models, including Data Vault, dimensional, SCD, and 3NF models.
• Strong experience developing scalable SQL-driven transformations.
• Commitment to reliable, maintainable, and well-tested data solutions, with a strong focus on quality, monitoring, reliability, and automation.
• Ability to refine requirements and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders; strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving approach; ownership across the data lifecycle; and comfort with agile, iterative delivery environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Python for automation, API integrations, and workflow enhancement.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated environments.
• Experience with Temenos T24/Transact, Temenos Triple'A, or similar core banking platforms.
