Senior Data Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines.
• Architect and optimize ELT workflows in dbt for modularity, performance, and adaptability.
• Own the integrity, structure, and performance of core data models in Redshift.
• Implement standards for data governance, observability, and quality across pipelines.
• Integrate diverse data sources, APIs, and third-party platforms, and partner with engineering and product teams on data architecture.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, handle incident response and root cause analysis, contribute to data platform strategy, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including scaling infrastructure in fast-growing environments.
• Expert-level SQL and strong proficiency in Python or other data-related programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architectures, including GCP, AWS, or Azure, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and governance frameworks.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and drive solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring engineers.
