Node.js Back-End Engineer

What you will do

• Build and maintain secure backend APIs in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code with tools such as Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply OWASP security practices, write tests, participate in code reviews, and investigate and resolve backend issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, frontend engineers, and DevOps colleagues while taking on increasing ownership.
• Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to support development, code reviews, and delivery efficiency.
• Learn and share knowledge about backend and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with at least one relational or NoSQL database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Some experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS, or strong motivation to learn AWS.
• Basic understanding of authentication concepts such as OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Awareness of OWASP security best practices and testing.
• Interest in or some exposure to messaging systems such as SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka, as well as CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Good problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills; eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and grow toward greater ownership.
• Regular use of AI tools such as Claude or Codex in daily development work.
• Fluent English communication.
