Privacy Legal Counsel (AI & Data)

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden; 2–3 days per week at the Stockholm office in Stadion, Östermalm. Flexible hours. Ideal start in January 2027, with flexibility for a February or March 2027 start.

What you will do

• Advise the business on privacy, AI, data protection, GDPR, AI Act, Data Act, and related commercial legal matters.
• Build, develop, and maintain a scalable privacy program, including policies, guidance, tools, templates, standards, training, and awareness initiatives.
• Monitor privacy, AI, data, and related regulatory developments across the EU, United States, and other relevant jurisdictions, advising stakeholders on their impact.
• Support privacy notices, records of processing activities, audits, assessments, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support incident response and personal data breach management, and engage with regulators, public authorities, and external advisors including the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and legal documents while partnering with IT & Digitalization, Product, Sales, and other functions throughout the product and project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Swedish law degree (juristexamen).
• Approximately 4–7 years of relevant legal experience with substantial hands-on GDPR and data protection advisory experience.
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance, processes, and business solutions.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Excellent judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and know when to escalate.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish.
• Pragmatic, business-oriented legal judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Nice to have

• Law firm experience involving privacy, AI, data, and technology matters.
• Relevant in-house experience in an international setting.
• Interest in or exposure to HIPAA or other US privacy regulations.
• GDPR certification or training.
