Validation Engineer (Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs)

What you will do

• Lead bench validation activities for silicon ICs during product development.
• Understand product specifications, chip architecture, and device behavior.
• Develop post-silicon characterization plans and coordinate execution with design, systems, and test teams.
• Design validation-board schematics and PCB layouts, and create automated bench setups.
• Perform system-level and parametric tests using laboratory equipment and embedded systems.
• Debug device and setup issues, drive them to closure, and publish detailed results for product-development stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience validating silicon ICs.
• Hands-on experience with bench-automation languages, preferably Python, as well as LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Extensive experience with laboratory bench equipment, automated bench setups, and generic embedded systems such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
• Good understanding of PCB design for power products.
• Hands-on experience designing and laying out PCB hardware using KiCad and Altium.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Spotfire.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Open-mindedness, eagerness to learn, ability to think outside the box, and passion for innovative methods and technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience working with power devices such as DC-DC converters and eFuses.
