TL;DR
Lead RF Hardware Engineer (RF Systems/Electronic Warfare): Designing, integrating, testing, and supporting RF components and complex RF systems from requirements capture through production with an accent on antennas, receivers, channelizers, wideband architectures, and automated measurement. Focus on leading cross-functional engineering teams, aligning link budgets with real-world test data, debugging mixed-signal systems, and supporting design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test.

Location: On-site at the El Segundo, CA headquarters; remote work is not available. Must be a U.S. Person and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Company

hirify.global develops advanced electronic warfare technologies and RF systems.

What you will do

  • Provide cradle-to-grave support for RF components, including requirements capture, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, measurement, production, testing, and RF system-level support.
  • Automate bench measurement setups, collect RF test data, and perform post-processing for data-driven conclusions.
  • Design, integrate, and maintain complex RF systems, including work across New Product Introduction, design-for-manufacturing, and design-for-test.
  • Mentor and coach engineers while applying eCAD, CAD, RF fundamentals, and advanced Python and/or MATLAB proficiency.
  • Support critical test events that may require extended hours or weekends.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of total experience, including at least 2 years leading a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Experience creating link budgets and aligning them with real-world test data.
  • Strong understanding of RF system parameters, including gain, cascaded noise figure, figure-of-merit, linearity, and band flatness.
  • Ability and willingness to debug complex electrical systems and methodically identify root causes.
  • Experience with antenna and receiver design across analog, RF, and mixed-signal domains, including mixers, PLLs/LOs, gain, linearity, and noise trade-offs, with the ability to turn simulations into working hardware.
  • Experience with channelizers and wideband architectures, including filter banks, analog/digital down-conversion, sample-rate planning, and clocking/synchronization.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience with formal hardware qualification campaigns and robust unit screening in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with RF systems on UAVs or for military applications.
  • Experience with GNU Radio or similar DSP frameworks.
  • Experience scaling RF products and technologies.

Culture & Benefits

  • Competitive salary, stock options, health, vision, and dental benefits.
  • 401(k) enrollment after 90 days.
  • Unlimited PTO and most federal holidays observed.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment with high responsibility and autonomy.
  • Access to current tools and technologies, professional growth opportunities, and challenging electronic warfare problems.
