Drivetrain Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do

• Develop, design, and continuously improve drivetrain assembly processes, including assembly flow, line layout, fixtures, and tooling.
• Provide technical support to production and resolve on-site assembly and manufacturing issues affecting quality and process stability.
• Lead PPAP preparation and execution for new drivetrain product launches.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimization, cost management, safety improvements, and assembly-line productivity initiatives.
• Lead or support automation and semi-automation projects for drivetrain assembly.
• Support NPI activities including process planning, manufacturing readiness, PFMEA, control plans, pilot builds, production ramp-up, and manufacturing digitalization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; electrification-related majors are preferred.
• Typically 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly engineering experience; strong potential candidates may also be considered.
• Proficiency in MS Office and 2D/3D engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or UG, with the ability to independently create process drawings and design assembly fixtures and tooling.
• Solid knowledge of engineering drawing standards, tolerances, and GD&T; familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and quality management systems.
• Ability to independently resolve on-site assembly technical issues.
• Strong ownership, a proactive and results-driven mindset, willingness to learn and grow, strong teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English for cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with intelligent or automated equipment.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and process optimization.
• Exposure to NPI, product industrialization, manufacturing launch, or APQP/PPAP activities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing digitalization tools, production data analysis, Industry 4.0 concepts, MES, Power BI, automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing solutions.
