Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Process)

Location: Onsite in Kunshan, China

TOMRA develops technology-led collection and sorting solutions for the food, recycling, and mining industries. The Kunshan operation serves as a global manufacturing center and Asian sales and service center for sorting equipment.

What you will do

• Build, implement, and standardize electrical processes for cabinet assembly, machine wiring, equipment commissioning, and factory verification.
• Design and validate electrical assembly aids, positioning fixtures, error-proofing jigs, and dedicated testing tools.
• Optimize electrical processes, identify waste and bottlenecks, and reduce production cycle time, defects, and rework.
• Maintain SOPs, inspection standards, process specifications, drawings, BOMs, and ECN implementation.
• Implement NPI projects and prepare tooling lists, flow charts, and SOPs before batch production.
• Analyze abnormalities, drive closed-loop improvements, and train engineers, operators, and technicians.

Requirements

• College degree or above in Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical processes, testing, and tooling design for non-standard automation equipment.
• Ability to independently handle electrical process and commissioning abnormalities.
• Strong process-system construction, process optimization, lean improvement, and error-prevention skills.
• Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to communicate directly with electrical engineers from abroad.

Nice to have

• Lean process improvement experience with sorting machines or inspection automation equipment.
