Node.js Developer

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid work with 3 days in the office.

Salary: AUD 130,000–160,000 plus superannuation per annum.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate third-party services and internal platforms.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with frontend developers using React and other modern frameworks.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, improve technical systems, and contribute to code reviews, documentation, testing, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend application architecture.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Docker and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within an agile team.
