Software Engineer in Test II (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the United States except Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, DC, and Washington.

Salary: $89,274–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define and own enterprise-wide automated testing architecture, including framework design, tool selection, coding standards, and long-term scalability for component, integration, and system-level testing.
• Establish quality engineering strategy, Shift-Left testing practices, test coverage standards, and AI-assisted testing and intelligent test analysis across system design, sprint planning, and development practices.
• Design and optimize CI/CD testing processes and Azure DevOps pipeline architecture, including test orchestration, quality gates, and release approval across multiple environments.
• Architect and improve monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions using Dynatrace and Azure.
• Lead cross-team system integration and performance testing, coordinating test strategy, execution, and defect resolution across scrum teams.
• Mentor engineers, conduct architectural code reviews, and define testing documentation and automation best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of experience as a software engineer in test or in a related occupation.
• At least 2 years of experience with unit, white-box, gray-box, black-box, and acceptance testing of web applications in a client/server environment.
• At least 2 years of experience programming in .NET/C#, JavaScript frameworks including React or another framework, and SQL for automated testing and data validation.
• At least 2 years of experience creating and executing API requests and validating JSON or XML responses.
• At least 2 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining integration and system test automation frameworks using mocks, stubs, or in-memory databases.
• At least 2 years of experience applying object-oriented programming principles and SOLID design patterns.
• At least 2 years of experience using CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, including Azure DevOps and Git.
• At least 2 years of experience with application monitoring and observability using Dynatrace or similar tools.
• At least 2 years of experience with performance testing, accessibility testing, Shift-Left testing, cross-team system integration testing, and coordinating testing activities in an agile development environment.
