Scrum Master

Location: Remote; US citizenship required

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Own and maintain product backlogs, ensuring requirements are clear, prioritized, and actionable.
• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, change management, continuous delivery, and solution design with Product Owners, Business Owners, end users, team leadership, and technical teams.
• Plan and support user acceptance testing to validate functionality against user needs.
• Drive daily operations, identify process improvements and risks, and contribute to contractual deliverables and program reporting.
• Convert integrated master schedules into team-level backlogs and keep both synchronized.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability.
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• An active Scrum certification or another industry-related Agile certification.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master on IT modernization projects or enterprise solutions involving multiple cross-functional teams in professional services or federal consulting; DHS experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience serving as a functional lead across multiple Agile teams and recommending Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile techniques according to situational needs.
• Expertise engaging Product Owners and Business Owners or end users to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
• General understanding of the software development lifecycle and technical migration concepts, including testing and deployment practices and tools.
• Strong experience translating business needs into functional and technical requirements, leading initiatives from concept through delivery and implementation, and managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Hands-on proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Oracle, SN Agile Dev 2.0/CWM, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, developing documentation, and promoting workflow optimization.
• Experience converting an integrated master schedule into a team-level backlog and keeping both synchronized.

Nice to have

• Experience working consistently for more than one year on a team at an organization known for high-quality software development.
• Experience coaching Agile teams, describing the evolution and efficiency gains achieved.
• Ability to develop metrics-based dashboards or reports to guide coaching and validate process decisions.
• Previous experience building and testing software products.
• Experience leading a team consistently for more than one year and describing the evolution and efficiency gains achieved through coaching.
