Backend Software Engineer, SDK

Location: Remote - US; occasional opportunities to visit the Bay Area, California office for team offsites. The SDK team works across Eastern and Pacific time zones.

Salary: $171,200–$235,400 in Zone 1, $154,100–$211,860 in Zone 2, or $145,500–$200,090 in Zone 3, plus RSUs and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and improve SDKs across supported platforms, implementing features that meet customer performance and resiliency requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement and release major features.
• Maintain hirify.global’s open-source repositories and contribute publicly visible code.
• Identify improvement opportunities and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Influence technology, product, roadmap, and prioritization decisions.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience building libraries and packages used by other developers.
• Polyglot experience with the ability to switch quickly between programming languages.
• 5+ years of experience with at least two of .NET, Go, Ruby, Python, NodeJS, or Java.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Strong testing experience, including unit, integration, load tests, and benchmarks.
• Experience writing production-ready code with an emphasis on quality and maintainability.
• Experience contributing to open-source software.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, work independently, and solve difficult problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Erlang, Haskell, or Lua.
• Experience with AI SDKs, observability SDKs, or mobile development.
