Network Architect (Network Security)

Location: Hybrid in Brandon, Florida; four days onsite at the Lake Kathy Office and one day remote.

What you will do

• Design and implement enterprise network architecture across LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless, and cloud networking.
• Architect and support IP address management, DNS, site-to-site VPNs, ISP connectivity, load balancing, proxies, network automation, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Design and implement security controls including NAC, ACLs, network segmentation, intrusion detection, DMZs, and zero-trust architectures.
• Provide architectural guidance for enterprise infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable network solutions.
• Manage multiple network architecture initiatives, priorities, and technical standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in network architecture, including enterprise network design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, and network security solutions.
• Experience implementing NAC, network segmentation, intrusion detection, and access control policies.
• Experience designing and implementing network security solutions in critical infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of DMZ architecture, network segmentation, and zero-trust security models.
• Understanding of NERC CIP, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001 security and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting electrical utilities, energy organizations, or other critical infrastructure industries.
• CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or similar professional certifications.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.
• Experience with network automation, cloud networking, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
