Division Operations Leader, R&D

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; at least four days per week in the office. Travel may include up to 20% domestic and international travel. Relocation may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Expected compensation: $221,591–$270,834, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Translate R&D strategy into functional objectives, roadmaps, measures, and execution plans.
• Establish standard work, review adoption, identify operating gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain functional resource plans and connect R&D resource information with portfolio and capacity planning.
• Lead operating rhythms, including leadership meetings, priorities, decisions, action ownership, communications, escalation, and closure.
• Develop KPIs, targets, governance, and review cadences; monitor performance and drive actions to completion.
• Coordinate organizational changes, improve portfolio insight, surface cross-functional risks, and provide decision-support recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, business, or operations, completed and verified before starting.
• At least five years of commercialization, product development, program management, operations, or related experience, including experience with a stage-gate development process.
• At least three years of leadership or management experience in a cross-functional environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work on-site in Maplewood at least four days per week.

• Ability to work through ambiguity, frame trade-offs, resolve dependencies, and drive accountability without relying solely on direct authority.
• Experience developing KPIs, resource models, portfolio views, and decision-support materials for senior leaders.
