Senior C/C++ Linux Technical Lead (ZTPF)

Location: USA - FL - Any City; the work model prioritizes in-person collaboration.

Salary: $84,400–$156,800 annually.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in large, mature, highly interconnected C/C++ codebases supporting mission-critical, high-volume transaction processing.
• Lead code reviews and pull-request reviews, challenging design and implementation decisions where necessary.
• Diagnose runtime, memory, threading, compiler-warning, application-behavior, Linux, service, and log issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis across application code, services, logs, connectors, interfaces, communication layers, distributed systems, and transaction flows.
• Provide technical governance for builds and releases, including assessment of code changes before merge or release.
• Lead technical-debt, code-quality, system-stability, documentation, knowledge-transfer, and operational-readiness initiatives while coordinating developers and specialist SMEs.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on C/C++ expertise and experience with legacy enterprise applications, preferably involving mainframe migrations.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot large, mature, highly interconnected C codebases.
• Strong code-review and pull-request-review capability, with authority to challenge design and implementation decisions.
• Experience diagnosing complex runtime, memory, threading, compiler-warning, and application-behavior issues.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting experience, including application, services, and log analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting connectors, interfaces, communication layers, and distributed systems.
• Ability to perform deep root-cause analysis across application code, services, logs, and transaction flows.
• Experience providing technical governance for builds and releases and assessing code changes before merge or release.
• Ability to lead technical-debt, code-quality, and stability remediation rather than focusing only on new feature development.
• Ability to function as a senior technical escalation point, coordinate developers and specialist SMEs, and reach technical decisions.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills, especially for operational readiness, troubleshooting, and system support.
• ZTPF experience is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Airline industry or Passenger Service System experience, particularly in reservation, inventory, availability, ticketing, or airline host environments.
• Experience with airline transaction-processing or other high-volume, mission-critical systems.
• TPF, mainframe modernization, or re-platforming experience.
• Experience supporting migrations or re-platforming of legacy/mainframe applications to Linux or cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Azure, PostgreSQL, and modern observability tooling.
