Junior Hydrogeologist

Location: Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada; on-site. Willingness to travel and participate in field programs at remote locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon. Relocation support is available.

Salary: CAD 75,000–110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Deliver hydrogeological field programs, including groundwater sampling, tracer studies, pumping tests, and packer tests.
• Support and supervise borehole drilling and monitoring well installation programs.
• Analyze groundwater data and prepare technical, factual, and interpretive reports on field data and site conditions.
• Operate and maintain specialized field testing and monitoring equipment.
• Provide technical input and collaborate with multidisciplinary technical experts across projects.
• Monitor and promote environmental health and worker safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science focused on groundwater and hydrogeology.
• 1–3 years of related work experience in consulting or the mining industry, including previous experience supervising drilling programs.
• Willingness to travel and participate in field programs at remote locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon.
• Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
