Chief of Staff to CEO

Location: Rockville, MD, US; hybrid working options available.

Base salary: $180,000–$230,000 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the CEO, providing analysis, recommendations, market intelligence, and decision support.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, accountability mechanisms, and coordinated execution across business units and corporate functions.
• Lead strategic initiatives, special projects, transformation efforts, and operational improvement programs on behalf of the CEO.
• Manage the Executive Leadership Team operating cadence, including agendas, materials, decision tracking, governance forums, and follow-up actions.
• Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, performance metrics, business reviews, and insights supporting planning, budgeting, forecasting, and goal setting.
• Coordinate Board and Board Committee engagement, prepare presentations and briefings, manage governance actions, and maintain relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, business operations, corporate development, management consulting, project management, and/or executive leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a global organization.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience managing strategic projects, transformation initiatives, and enterprise priorities.
• Exceptional business judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Familiarity with Board governance and executive-level environments.
• Strong understanding of ISS STOXX's businesses, products, clients, operating environment, and strategic priorities.
