Electrical Maintenance Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Aarrowcast, Shawano, WI, United States; onsite, full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer. Start date: May 2027. Summer internship duration.

What you will do

• Participate in daily preventive maintenance planning meetings and help schedule and execute maintenance tasks.
• Support reliability engineering, asset management, and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
• Collect and analyze downtime and equipment performance data to support maintenance priorities and improvement decisions.
• Update and organize work orders, asset information, tracking, and reporting in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Analyze preventive maintenance schedules using downtime data, equipment history, and OEM documentation, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in safety walkthroughs and compliance checks, document findings, and support corrective actions related to OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a four-year Engineering or related degree program with current status of at least Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Employment may be contingent on verifying U.S. Person status or the employer obtaining any required U.S. export license for access to controlled information or technology.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• AutoCAD experience.
